Description

Overview
Rulon® 488 is a dull-turquoise, PTFE-based fluoropolymer developed for sliding and bearing applications, notably in veneer dryer bearings and gas compressor service. It delivers superior wear performance in extremely dry environments, broad chemical resistance and enhanced load capacity compared with Rulon® J and Rulon® 142.

Material & Processing
The material is a filled PTFE composite supplied as compression-molded stock and precision machined parts. Common manufacturing process: compression molding; finished components are molded or precision-machined to specification.
