Description

Overview
Sliding probes are eddy-current probes designed to inspect rows of fasteners in reflection mode (Driver/Pickup coils). They detect surface and near-surface flaws while sliding over raised fastener heads and are available in adjustable and fixed versions to suit different inspection procedures.

Types
  • Adjustable types: Include shims to adapt the probe to various fastener sizes; listed adjustable models typically use (2) 1-Pin Microdot connectors.
  • Fixed types: Provide defined coil size and frequency response for procedure-specific use; available with a range of connector options including Triax Fischer/LEMO and multi-pin connectors.


Notes
Fixed versions commonly feature a relieved underside to allow smooth sliding over raised fastener heads. Connector types vary by model and must be selected according to the inspection system interface requirements.
