Trafiltubi has the greatest experience in special alloy steels, which meet the specifications for aviation, to which also belongs the 25CrMo4 [or 2391; 1.7218 / 1.7213; 2225; F222; see here the datasheet]; this is an aeronautical steel with high-purity and high-performance, until now one of the best structural steels. 25CrMo4 tubes are characterized by high mechanical characteristics and considerable fatigue resistance, excellent weldability and workability, easiness to bending. They are largely used for the construction of reliable and light frames also for bicycle, kart and auto-motive sectors. With similar chemical composition 25CrMo4 also appears as 25CD4 (French Definition). The variant with a higher chromium content, the 30CrMo4 (or 4130) is the generally required formula for use in the United States. Like all our pipes, also our 25CrMo4 tubes can be delivered with a natural finishing or satined. Our annealing furnaces, working in a controlled atmosphere, produce white tubes for heat treatment of NBK and GBK (normalizing or annealing); the tubes instead are darker in the case of BK + S treatment.
