Description

42CrM04 is the most widely used of the quenched and tempered steels; its excellent hardenability and absence of temper brittleness make it suitable for the production of various parts that require high mechanical characteristics. However, it does not weld well (risk of cracks). Also suitable for hot applications up to a temperature of 500°C.
